I Want My MTV!

Why, oh why, when I walk through the clothing store (Forever 21) do I find the MTV logo on a t-shirt? Why? Do kids today even know what MTV was like in the 80's or even the 90's? MTV was amazing... I say "was" because it has changed.

MTV (Music Television) used to have music videos, ONLY music videos. I remember in 1988 only watching MTV. I did not care about anything else! It was MTV all of the time.

Now MTV hardly shows music videos. It is all about reality tv or other stupid nonsense shows. The teenaged generation of today is missing out on what was wonderful. Music. Music put into tiny movies. I loved Michael Jackson and Madonna; even into the 90's with Nirvana, Beck, and Nine Inch Nails.

So, MTV is a fashion statement for 2013. Interesting. Do the kids who are wearing it have any clue what is used to be? I wonder.  I guess this has become vintage now. I appreciate this as a child from the 80's.
