Fiore Designs Trunk Show

By Emily

Trunk shows are like exclusive mini parties for eccentric urbanites and self proclaimed elitists alike. They are the hidden gems in neighborhoods all around town, popping up like classy versions of picture pop up books. And this weekend was no different.

In the upscale beach town of LA known as "The Palisades, " sprung up yet another trunk show Sunday afternoon. Hosted by fashion and lifestyle designer, Brittaney Elise of BE., and held at the lovely Fiore Designs floral and gifts studio space, was a trunk show tastefully full of fashion, accessories and eats.

Upon arriving, Tracey and I headed straight for the beverage table and poured ourselves a delicious liquor concoction of fruits and Veev. We also checked out the amazing selection of all-natural candy provided by A Real Treat, an organic, all-natural, free of everything bad for you, candy boutique in Santa Monica. I myself have a huge sweet tooth, and couldn't be happier knowing there is a one stop shop to get all the goods organically, while still supporting small businesses (like us!).

But back to our bread and butter - FASHION. The spread included Tysa DesignsBlu Democracy, and of course our hostess' brand BE.

Tysa Designs carries laid back pieces like jump suits and maxi dresses in vibrant colors and patterns, and epitomizes the so cal girl, without going too glam, or too casual. Pieces can be found at local LA favorite Fred Segal stores, among others.

Blu Democracy on the other hand, has a very important message: Helping those in need of clean water. With every purchase, a dollar will be donated to the cause. Their line of tee shirts are made from bamboo and other natural materials. Feels great, looks great, and more importantly, supports a great cause.

And finally BE. This collection was probably my favorite because every color of every piece was one that belongs in my closet. I tend to dress in cooler colors and stick to basics like white, black and grey, occasionally throwing in an accent of color. So imagine my delightful surprise as I perused this rack of clothing that I knew would fit in perfectly with my wardrobe. Brittaney of BE also carries a handful of home products, like candles with the cleanest of smells, and offers an array of other services, from personal styling to home decorating.
